Course Description
Software development is a course This course covers the fundamentals of software engineering, including understanding system requirements, finding appropriate engineering compromises, effective methods of design, coding, and testing, team software development, and the application of engineering tools.
This course will consolidate a serious areas of strength for concentration with a capstone project giving the chance to work on designing information, abilities, and practices in a reasonable improvement setting with a real client.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the trainee should be able to:
- An understanding of different software processes and how to choose between them.
- How to elicit requirement s from a client and specify them.
- Design in the large, including principled choice of a software architecture
- The use of modules and interfaces to enable, separate development, and design patterns.
- Understanding good coding practices, including documentation, contracts, regression tests and daily builds.
- Various quality assurance techniques, including unit testing, function testing and automated analysis tools.

Course outline
NB: Requirements to sit for final exams
Candidate should put in a minimum of 90% attendance to appear for the examinations.
Passing Minimum
A candidate shall secure a minimum of 50% to pass the final examination.
